Aluminium falls 0.4% on global cues

Prices fell as speculators offloaded their positions

Aluminium futures for May declined by 40 paise, or 0.38% to Rs 104.60 per kg in 18 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract traded lower by 35 paise, or 0.34% to Rs 103.30 per kg in 242 lots.

Prices fell as speculators offloaded their positions amid subdued domestic demand.

Weak trend base metals in Asian markets on demand concern as Chinese manufacturing missed the estimates led to a fall in aluminium futures prices.
