Aluminium futures prices declined by 0.47% to Rs 105.80 per kg today as speculators booked profits at existing high levels, driven by subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for August delivery declined by 0.50 paise, or 0.47%, to Rs 105.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 975 lots.

Similarly, the metal for September delivery was trading lower by 40 paise, or 0.37%, at Rs 106.95 per kg, with an open interest for 50 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by traders, subdued demand in the spot market mainly exerted downward pressure on aluminium futures prices.
