Aluminium prices moved down by 0.47% to Rs 117.40 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits amid a weak trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May shed 55 paise, or 0.47% to Rs 117.40 per kg, with a trade volume of 199 lots.

The metal for delivery in June also traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.34% to Rs 117.65 per kg, with a business turnover of four lots.

Analysts said profit-booking by speculators amid weak trend in base metals overseas mainly kept pressure on the aluminium prices at futures trade here.
