Aluminium futures prices moved up by 0.91 per cent to Rs 104.90 per kg today, in line with a firming trend in other base metals at global markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in December gained 95 paise, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 104.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 193 lots.

The metal for delivery in January contract also edged up by 95 paise, or 0.90 per cent to Rs 106.10 per kg, with a turnover of 25 lots.

Meanwhile, at the London Metal Exchange (LME) counter aluminium advanced 1.2 per cent to $2,335 per tonne.

Marketmen said firm trend in the base metals pack in overseas markets, buoyed by strong Chinese macroeconomic and output data and firming demand at the domestic markets mainly supported upside in aluminium futures prices here.
