Aluminium futures marginally up in thin trade

In range-bound thin trade, aluminium traded higher by Rs 0.05, or 0.05 per cent, at Rs 103.20 per kg in futures trade today, on the back of better demand at spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August and September contracts rose by Rs 0.05, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 102.25 and Rs 103.20 per kg, respectively with a business turnover in 2 lots each.

Market experts said rising demand at the physical markets from consuming industries and firming trend in other base metals also influenced aluminium prices at futures market here
