In range-bound movements, aluminium traded higher by Rs 0.05, or 0.35 per cent, at Rs 99.55 per kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their positions, driven by better demand for the metal at spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in September contract rose Rs 0.35, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 99.55 per kg, clocked a turnover of three lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in August contract gained Rs 0.30, or 0.31 per cent, at Rs 98.35 per kg, with a business turnover of six lots.

Market analysts said firm demand at the physical markets from consuming industries mainly supported the upside in aluminium futures prices here.
