Aluminium futures rise in range-bound trade

Aluminium futures rose by Rs 0.10 to Rs 91.85 per kg today in a restricted trade amid firming trend in global markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August contract gained Rs 0.10, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 91.85 per kg, in a turnover of 7 lots.

The metal for delivery in July month contract gained Rs 0.10, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 90.80 per kg.

At the London Metal Exchange, aluminium traded 0.2 per cent higher at $1,940 a tonne in early trade today.

Marketmen said firming trend at the London Metal Exchange coupled with rising demand from consuming industries in spot markets, pushed up marginally aluminium prices.
