Aluminium traded 0.46% higher in futures trading today after speculators created fresh positions, driven by a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in June gained 55 paise, or 0.46% to Rs 119.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 9 lots.
The metal for delivery in May also strengthened by 45 paise, or 0.38% to Rs 118.75 per kg, with a trading volume of 228 lots.
Market analysts said a firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the LME on strong data from China and pick-up in domestic demand, mainly influenced the trading sentiments at futures trade here.
