Buoyed by good demand at spot markets, aluminium futures prices rose by Rs 0.45, or 0.48 per cent, at Rs 93.30 per kg today.
However, overnight losses at the London Metal Exchange, restricted gains. Aluminium for delivery in July contract also edged higher by Rs 0.45, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 93.30 per kg, with a turnover of 528 lots.
Likewise, the delivery in August contract also traded up by Rs 0.45, or 0.48 per cent at Rs 94.35 per kg, with a business turnover of 34 lots.
Market analysts said better trend at spot markets on pick up in demand resulted in a marginal rise but weakness at the LME, capped gains.
