Buoyed by overnight gains at the London Metal Exchange and good demand at spot market, aluminium futures at the Multi Commodity Exchange platform gained Rs 0.30, or 0.32 per cent, at Rs 94.30 per kg today.

The metal for delivery in July contract also moved up by Rs 0.15, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 93.20 per kg, with a turnover of 4 lots.

At the London Metal Exchange, aluminium gained 0.10 per cent at $1,995 per tonne while at Shanghai, it rose by 0.07 per cent to 14,820 yuan per tonne in early trade today.

Market analysts said besides overnight gains in entire base metals pack, good demand at domestic markets also supported the rise in aluminium prices at futures market here.
