Aluminium futures traded lower by Rs 0.75, or 0.81 per cent, at Rs 92.30 per kg, in futures trade today, in tandem with weak trend in base metals globally amid subdued demand at physical markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in August contract eased by Rs 0.75, or 0.81 per cent, to Rs 92.30 per kg, with a turnover of three lots.

The metal for delivery in July contract also eased by Rs 0.65, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 91.30 per kg, with a turnover of 142 lots.

Marketmen said weak trend in base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange as concerns over economic recovery continued to weigh on the sentiment, which led to a decline in aluminium prices in futures trade here.

At the London Metal Exchange, aluminium traded 0.83 per cent, down at $1,961 per tonne.
