Aluminium traded lower by Rs 0.80 or 0.83 per cent, at Rs 95.35 per kg in futures trade today after speculators booked profits on a weak trend at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in September contract fell by Rs 0.80 or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 95.35 per kg, with a turnover of 15 lots.

The metal for delivery in July contract also eased by Rs 0.25 or 0.27 per cent to Rs 93.55 per kg, with a turnover of 19 lots.

Market analysts said profit-taking by speculators and weak trend in base metals at the LME on fears of an uncertain US economy led aluminium prices to fall in futures market here.
