Aluminium prices gained 0.41% to Rs 109.55 per kg in the futures market today mostly supported by a pick-up in domestic demand at spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March rose by 45 paise, or 0.41%, to Rs 109.5 per kg, with an open interest for seven lots.

The February contract rose by 50 paise to Rs 108.50 per kg in 328 lots.

Market analysts said a pick-up in spot demand mainly influenced aluminium prices in futures trade.
