APL Apollo Tubes gains on HDFC Mutual Fund buying

Shares of APL Apollo Tubes were trading higher by 3% at Rs 450 on the BSE after HDFC Mutual Fund bought nearly one percentage point stake in the company through open market.

On Monday, April 6, 2015, HDFC Mutual Fund bought 160,000 shares representing 0.68% stake in APL Apollo Tubes at Rs 421 per share on the BSE, the bulk deal data shows.

The stock opened at Rs 447 and touched a 52-week high of Rs 455 on the BSE. A combined 25,750 shares changed hands on the counter till 1026 hours on the BSE and NSE.
