Arhar, gram declines on sluggish demand

Prices of arhar and gram fell up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on subdued demand at prevailing level against increased supplies in the market.

Traders said increased arrivals in the face of sluggish demand at existing higher levels, kept pressure on the arhar and gram prices.

Arhar and its dal dara variety moved down by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,000-4,100 and Rs 5,000-5,400 per quintal.

Gram and its dal local and best quality were lost Rs 25 each to Rs 2,250-2,275, Rs 2,500-2,525 and Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal.
