Arhar up on fresh buying support

In an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market, arhar and its dal prices continued to rise on pick up in demand and prices rose by another Rs 50 per quintal.   

Elsewhere, other commodities remained steady on some support. Traders attributed persistent rise in arhar prices to rising local demand.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,950-4,050 and Rs 5,100-5,500 per quintal, respectively.
