Ashok Leyland moves up on sales jump

The stock finally ended at Rs 47.35 - up 2.5%. The counter clocked comparatively hefty volumes of 2.03 million shares on the BSE as against the two week daily average trade of 1.32 million shares on the BSE.

Ashok Leyland has gained 2% in noon trades following 57% jump in commercial vehicle sales.

The stock opened at Rs 46.70 and advanced 4.5% to a high of Rs 48.20. The stock is now up 1.7% at Rs 47. The stock is just 3% away from its 52 week high while it has zoomed 277% from its 52-week lw of Rs 12.45.

 

The counter has clocked volumes of 1.02 million shares on the BSE so far.

The sales of the company has increased 56.99% to 5,333 in October as against the same moth in the previous year. Exports however, fell over 5% to 399 units in the months compared to 421 units in October last year.
