Ashoka Buildcon soars on emerging as lowest bidder

The project include rural electrification and strengthening of distribution network for Vaishali district in Bihar.

Ashoka Buildcon has jumped 3.6% to Rs 134.65 on the BSE after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for the project viz. Composite Tender for Rural Electrification works under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) in Xllth Plan and strengthening of Distribution Network under Special Plan (BRGF) for Vaishali District in Bihar.
 
The bid opening meeting was held on May 29, 2014, at the office of North Bihar Power Distribution Co., at Patna. The total cost of the project stood at Rs 373.39 crore.
 
The stock opened at Rs 150, and has touched a high of Rs 150 and a low of Rs 133 on the BSE thus far. Over 73,620 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges so far.
