Asian indices gain in early trades

Asian markets have perked up in early trades following gains in the US markets.

The Nikkei has surged 111 points at 15,682. The Hang Seng has added 31 points to 16,358.

The Jakarata and Taiwan indices are up 0.8% each at 1338 and 6777, respectively.

The All Ordinaries, KLSE Composite and Straits Times indices are marginally in green at 5073, 923 and 2445, respectively.
