Asian markets extend losses following weak cues from the US and concerns over Euro Zone debt.
Investors booked profit on Wall Street on back of middling economic data and downgrades in several sectors which dampened earnings growth outlook. Dow Jones Industrial Average ended at one month low, down 0.7%, to 10,751.27, the S&P 500 Index fell 0.8%, to 1,137.03, and the Nasdaq Composite Index declined 1.1%, to 2,344.52.
Sell-off was seen across Asia as well in early trades as Japan's Nikkei hit 3-week low ahead of Bank Of Japan's policy meeting today and the possible impact on the currency markets.
Nikkei has pared morning losses and is currently trading flat. Markets are choppy in Hong Kong due to profit booking in property stocks, the Hang Seng index is also flat, up 0.1%. China's Shanghai Composite is shut on account of Holiday.
Seoul Composite is down 0.2% and Taiwan Weighted has fallen 0.8% in the morning session.
