Asian markets end firm

The Asian markets held on to their gains and ended near the highs of the day.

The Hang Seng gained 408 points (1.9%) to 21,196 and the Nikkei jumped 216 points (2%) to 10,585.

The Seoul Composite added 1.5% at 1,660, Straits Times added 1.6% at 2835 and Taiwan Weighted gained 1.2% to 7,762.

Shanghai Composite ended at 3,053, up 22 points or 0.7%.

Asian markets continue to trade firm.

The Hang Seng has gained 398 points (1.9%) to 21,186. The Nikkei has jumped 187 points (1.8%) to 10,556.

The Seoul Composite added 1.3% at 1,657. The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted have added 1.2% each to 2,826 and 7,763, respectively.

Asian markets have opened positive on a strong US jobs data. The consumer data also shows a recovery in the economy.

The Hang Seng has gained 413 points (2%) at 21,201. The Nikkei has jumped 182 points (1.7%) to 10,551.

 

The Straits Times has added 40 points (1.4%) to 2,830. The Seoul Composite and Taiwan Weighted 1% each to 1,654 and 7,744.

The Shanghai Composite has moved up 20 points to 3,051.
