Asian markets end flat; Hang Seng up 1%

The Asian markets ended on a mixed note. The Hang Seng advanced 218 points or 1% to 21,678. The Nikkei declined 91 points or 1% to 10,764.

The Shanghai Composite Index was up nine points at 3,246 and Straits Times was flat at 2,916, respectively.

The Taiwan Weighted Index declined 89 points or 1% to 8,249 and the Seoul Composite Index was marginally down at 1,710, respectively.

The Hang Seng is quoting at 21348, lower by 75 points, and the Nikkei is at 10,786, down 68 points.
 
The Shanghai Composite has added eight points at 3,245, while the Taiwan Weighted index has shed 92 points at 8,245.

 

The Straits Times and Seoul Composite are trading flat, with a positive bias, at 2,912 and 1,713 respectively.

The Hang Seng is quoting at 21,479, higher by 14 points, while the Nikkei is at 10,841, lower by 13 points.

The Taiwan Weighted index has shed 18 points at 8,319 and the Straits Times is down three points at 2,908.

The Seoul Composite index is up two points to 1,714 and the Shanghai Composite has added 15 points to 3,252.
