Asian markets end in red; Hang Seng down 2%

All the Asian markets barring the Shanghai Composite Index have ended in red. 

The Hang Seng plunged 381 points or 2% to 21,240.

The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite indices declined over 0.5% each to 2,624 and 1,549, respectively.

The Taiwan Weighted Index is down 12 points at 7,322.

The Shanghai Composite Index on the other hand added 38 points or 1% at 3,114.

Asian shares have extended losses in noon trades. The Hang Seng has dropped 154 points to 21,466.

The Taiwan Weighted has dropped 12 points to 7,323. The Seoul Composite is down nine points at 1,550.

 

The Shanghai Comsposite has managed to hold on to its gains and is now up 30 points (1%) at 3,107.

Asian markets are mixed with a negative bias this morning.

The Hang Seng has slipped 70 points to 21,550. 

The Taiwan Weighted has dropped 12 points to 7,323. The Shanghai Composite, however, has added 30 points (1%) to 3,107.

The Seoul Composite and the Straits Times are flat.
