The Hang Seng recovered some of its losses and finally ended 74 points lower at 18,503. The Nikkei dropped 73 points to 9,669.
The Shanghai Composite shed 11 points at 2,767.
The Seoul Composite declined 37 points to 1,378 and the Straits Times was down at 2,375.
The Taiwan Weighted Index decreased 107 points to 6,786.

Asian markets continue to trade in red this morning following weak cues from the global markets. Disappointing US private employment and services sector data resulted in investors worrying over the right time to buy.
The Hang Seng has plunged 453 points (2.5%) to 18,123. The Nikkei has slipped 61 points to 9,681.

The Straits Times has dopped 30 points (1%) to 2,354. The Shanghai Composite has declined 33 points (1%) to 2,746.

The Asian markets today opened on a negative note.
The Hang Seng has slumped 226 points (1.2%) to 18,351. The Nikkei has slipped seven points to 9,715.
The Shanghai Composite has dropped nine points to 2,770.
The Straits Times is flat at 2,383.
The Seoul Composite is down eight points at 1,406 and the Taiwan Weighted Index has declined 13 points to 6,880.
