The Asian markets managed to erase some of its losses towards the end. The Hang Seng slipped 187 points to 22,455. The Nikkei down 52 points at 9,497.
The Shanghai Composite Index slips 13 points at 3,308. The Taiwan Weighted Index declined 77 points to 7,683. The starits Times and the Seoul Composite indices were flat at 2,762 and 1,620, respectively.

Equity markets across Asia had opened weak, taking cue from the weakness seen on the US bourses overnight. But most of them have partly recouped their losses and markets such as Seoul and Straits Times are actually trading in the green.
Hang Seng is now quoting at 22,521, weaker by 121.57 points or 0.54% and the Nikkei is at 9,468.12, lower by 81.35 points or 0.8%.
The Taiwan Weighted is placed at 7,682.97, down 77.01 points or 0.99%.
In fact, Straits Times and Seoul are back in the green. Straits is quoting at 2,770.58, higher by 11.79 points or 0.43% and Seoul Composite is at 1,621.15, up 0.61 points or 0.04%.
Shanghai Composite is flat at 3,317.29, down 3.31 points or 0.10%.

Taking cue from the weakness seen on the US bourses overnight, equity markets across Asia have opened weak.
Hang Seng is quoting at 22,466.31, weaker by 176.85 points or 0.78% and the Nikkei is at 9,429.59, lower by 119.88 points or 1.26%.
Straits Times is at 2,755.88, lower by 2.91 points or 0.11%, Seoul Composite is at 1,617.06, weaker by 3.48 points or 0.21% and the Taiwan Weighted is placed at 7,724.47, down 35.51 points or 0.46%.
Shanghai Composite is at 3,297.808, down 22.80 points or 0.69%.
