Asian markets end negative; Shanghai down 2%

The Asian markets ended on a negative note.

The Hang Seng declined 301 points or 1.5% to 20,575. The Nkkkei slipped 107 points or 1% to 10,146.

The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 74 points or 2% to 3,024.

The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted Index were down 0.5% each at 2,766 and 7,569, respectively.

The Seoul Composite On the other hand was flat at 1,618.

The Asian markets have lost their way in mid-morning trades. The Hang Seng has weakened by 110 points to 20,766 and Nikkei is down 79 points at 10,174.

The Taiwan Weighted has shed 82 points to 7,546; Straits Times and Seoul Composite are trading flat, with a negative bias, at 2775 and 1614 respectively.

 

The Shanghai Composite has dropped 32 points to 3,064.

Asian markets are lacklustre in morning trades. The Hang Seng has added 18 points to 20,895. The Nikkei is down three points at 10,250.

The Shanghai Composite has dropped 10 points to 3,087.

The Taiwan Weighted has advanced 18 points to 7,648. The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite are flat.
