Asian markets flat in opening trades

The Asian markets have opened on a flat note. The Hang Seng  has added 69 points or 0.3% to 21,305.

The Nikkei has advanced 52 points or 0.5% to 11,038.

The Shanghai Composite Index is marginally down at 3,122.

The Taiwan Weighted Index and the Straits Times are marginally up at 7,966 and 2,932, respectively.

The Seoul Composite Index is on the other hand higher by 0.5% at 1,698.
