Asian markets heading south again, Nikkei down 171pts

Asian markets are down around 1-3% each following negative cues from the Wall Street.

The Hang Seng has plunged 346 (2.8%) points to 11,952. The Nikkei has dropped 171 (2.2%) points to 7,532.

The Taiwan Weighted index has slumped 69 (1.7%) points to 4,021. The Straits Times index has declined 31 (2%) points at 1,583, and the Seoul Composite index has slipped nine points to 940.

The Shanghai Composite index has shed 71 points at 1,912.
