Asian markets have posted smart gains this morning.
The Hang Seng has surged 177 points to 13,624. The Nikkei has rallied 170 points to 8,386.
The Taiwan Weighted index has gained 119 points at 5,243. The Straits Times index has advanced 20 points to 1,684, and the Seoul Composite index has added nine points to 1,208.
The Shanghai Composite index is up 14 points at 2,340.
