Asian markets in green; Nikkei up 14pts

Asian markets were seen hovering in positive zone in early trades today.

The Nikkei was up 14 points at 17,679. The Hang Seng gained 36 points at 20,384, and the Shanghai Composite index added 30 points to 3474.

The Taiwan Weighted index surged 50 points to 8099, and the Seoul Composite index moved up 18 points to 1517. The Jakarta and KLSE indices were up eight points each at 1934 and 1306, respectively.

The Straits Times index, however, was marginally weak at 3420 - down two points.
