Asian markets in green; Nikkei up 39pts

Asian markets have posted modest gains in morning trades today.

The Hang Seng has gained 114 points at 24,114. The Nikkei has moved up 39 points to 15,804.

The Taiwan Weighted index has rallied 59 points to 8997. The Straits Times has advanced 37 points to 3479, and the Seoul Composite index has added four points to 1840.

The Shanghai Composite index, however, is down 10 points at 5345.
