Most Asian stock markets are trading marginally higher, but uncertainty over a hostile takeover bid by BHP Billiton continues to weigh.
Hang Seng is trading flat, up 0.05% to 21,034; Chinese power producers & energy stocks are leading the gains. Japan's Nikkei Stock Average is up 1% at 9,335, South Korea's Kospi Composite has risen 0.2%to 1,775.
However Taiwan Weighted is trading in the red, down 0.3% at 7,899 and Shanghai Composite has fallen 0.2% to 2,660.
