Asian markets mixed, China tightening concerns weigh

Investors stayed on the sideliness in Asia amid rate hike concerns stemming from China, shrugging off overning rally on the Wall Street.

Hong Kong's Heng Seng index has fallen 0.6% and China's Shanghai Composite has risen 0.2% on rate hike speculation in China on Saturday. Japan's Nikkei Average was down 0.4% on back of losses in exporter shares.

Straits Times has dipped 0.7%, Seoul Composite has fallen 0.3% led by losses in technology and automaker shares and Taiwan Weighted has declined 0.5%. The Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange have fallen 22 points 5772.
