The Hang Seng has rallied nearly 3% (433 points) at 15,335. The Nikkei however has slipped 83 points to 8,841.
The Shanghai Composite is down three points at 2,511.
The Taiwan Weighted index has moved up 16 points to 5,874, and the Seoul Composite has added four points to 1,342. The Straits Times is down nine points at 1,867.
