Asian markets mixed in morning trades

Asian markets exhibited mixed trend in morning trades today.

The Hang Seng had slipped 77 points to 20,791, and the Nikkei was down 40 points at 17,472.

The Taiwan Weighted index moved up 10 points to 7985, and the Seoul Composite index added four points to 1593.

The Shanghai Composite and the Straits Times indices were flat at 3900 and 3474, respectively.
