Asian markets mixed; Nikkei down 112pts

Asian markets are exhibiting mixed trend this morning.

The Hang Seng has rallied 191 points to 22,655. The Shanghai Composite index has gained 57 points at 3,687.

The Nikkei has dropped 112 points to 12,633. The Taiwan Weighted index has slipped 14 points to 8,781.

The Straits Times index has moved down seven points to 2,994, and the Seoul Composite index is unchanged at 1,675.
