The Hang Seng has moved up 195 points to 13,259. The Nikkei has slipped 67 points to 7,972.
The Taiwan Weighted index is down nine points at 4,381. The Straits Times is up eight points at 1,715, and the Seoul Composite index is down two points at 1,193.
The Shanghai Composite index has gained 29 points at 2,137.
