Asian markets mixed; Nikkei flat

Asian markets are exhibiting mixed trend this morning.

The Hang Seng has gained 149 points at 24,461. The Nikkei is down five points at 13,245.

The Taiwan Weighted index has rallied 70 points to 8,743. The Straits Times index has moved up 11 points to 3,141, and the Seoul Composite index has declined 19 points to 1,755.

The Shanghai Composite index has shed 37 points at 3,576.
