Asian markets mixed; Nikkei up 28pts

Asian markets were mostly flat in early trades.

The Nikkei had moved up 28 points to 17,393. The Hang Seng was unchanged at 19,707. The Shanghai Composite index has gained 29 points at 3168.

On the other hand, the Taiwan Weighted index has dropped 36 points to 7809, and the Straits Times index has shed 20 points to 3214. The Seoul Composite index was down two points at 1451.
