Asian markets open flat

Taking cues from the developments in the US markets overnight, the Asian markets have opened on a flat note.

Hang Seng is quoting at 19,363, weaker by 15 points or 0.08% and the Nikkei has opened at 9,556, up by 35 points or 0.37%.

Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,651, stronger by 13 points or 0.7%, Taiwan Weighted is at 7,157, lower by nearly one point or 0.01% and Straits Times is at 2,758, up 6 points or 0.23%.

Shanghai Composite is at 2,510, down 1 points or 0.05%.
