The Asian markets have edged higher in opening trades, taking a cue from the positive closing on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng is quoting at 20,419, stronger by 155 points or 0.7% and Nikkei is at 9,321, higher by 21 points or 0.2%.
Seoul Composite is at 1,749, higher by 12 points or 0.7% and Taiwan Weighted is at 7,728, up 16 points or 0.2%.
Straits Times is flat at 2,944, lower by three points or 0.1%, and so is at Shanghai Composite at 2,531, up two points or 0.1%.
