Taking a cue from the developments in the US markets overnight, the Asian indices have opened in the red.
Hang Seng is quoting at 19,663 , weaker by 483 points or 2.4% and the Nikkei has opened at 10,255, lower by 207 points or 1.98%.
Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,654, weaker by 42 points or 2.9%,
Taiwan Weighted is at 7,599, lower by 174 points or 2.23% and Straits Times is at 2,825, down 29 points or 1.02%.
Shanghai Composite is at 2,635, down 65 points or 2.4%.
