The Asian markets have started in the negative on account of fallin the US markets overnight due to concerns on the sustainability of the rally in light of fresh worries about earnings growth in the coming quarters.
The biggest losers in the day are Seoul Composite, Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite down 1% each followed by Straits Times which lost 0.7% and Taiwan Weighted dropped by 0.6%. Nikkei continues to remain closed on account of holidays.
Hong Kong shares fell as continued fall in commodity prices and worries of monetary tightening by Beijing hit shares across many sectors. The Hang Seng Index was down 1% at 23,405.
