The Asian markets have edged lower in opening trades.
The Hang Seng is quoting at 21,028, lower by 63 points ot 0.3% and Nikkei is at 9,700, down 52 points or 0.5%.
Taiwan Weighted, Seoul Composite and Straits Times are trading virtually unchanged at 7785, 1772 and 2983 respectively.
