Taking a cue from the developments in the US markets overnight, the Asian indices have opened in the red.
Hang Seng is quoting at 20,603, weaker by four points or 0.05% and the Nikkei has opened at 8,829, lower by 77 points or 0.8%.
Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,721, weaker by nine points or 0.5%, Taiwan Weighted is flat at 7,689.
