The Asian markets have edged lower in opening trades. THE Hang Seng is at 23,011, lower by 43 points or 0.1% and Shanghai Composite is at 2,870, down 27 points or 0.9%.
Seoul Composite is at 1,915, weaker by 12 points or 0.6%, Straits Times is at 3,155, lower by three points or 0.1% and Taiwan Weighted is at 8,347, down two points.
Nikkei has, however, added nine points at 10,088.
