The Asian markets have opened on a mixed note. Hang Seng has shed 30 points or 0.1% at 22,944, while the Nikkei has gained two points at 10,312.
Taiwan Weighted is at 8,792, higher by 36 points or 0.4% and Straits Times is at 3,155, up eight points or 0.2%, while Seoul Composite is virtually unchanged at 2,016.
