The Asian markets have opened weak, taking cues from Wall Street. The Hang Seng is quoting at 20,671, weaker by 61 points or 0.3% and Nikkei is at 9,766, lower by 161 points or 1.6%.
Taiwan Weighted is at 7,517, weaker by 72 points or 0.9%, Seoul Composite is at 1,731, lower by eight points or 0.4% and Shanghai Composite is at 2,550, down 15 points or 0.6%.
Straits Times is an exception. The index has added 10 points or 0.3% at 2,857.
