Asian markets have rallied smartly on the back of smart gains in the US markets.
The Hang Seng has surged 232 points to 13,031. The Nikkei has gained 115 points at 7,384.
The Taiwan Weighted index has rallied 109 points to 4,539. The Straits Times index has moved up 11 points to 1,626, and the Seoul Composite index has added 14 points to 1,078.
The Shanghai Composite index, however, is flat at 2,200.
