Asian markets slide; Nikkei down 515pts

Asian markets are down deep into red following weak cues from the Wall Street.

The Hang Seng has slumped 959 points to 21,279. The Nikkei has plunged 515 points to 11,727.

The Taiwan Weighted index has tumbled 214 points to 7,948. The Straits Times index has shed 73 points at 2,766, and the Seoul Composite index has dropped 52 points to 1,549.

The Shanghai Composite index has slipped 84 points to 3,879.
